1.1 Stainless Steel Hose Clamps
Stainless steel hose clamps provide excellent corrosion resistance, strength, and durability, making them the best choice for harsh environments where moisture, chemicals, and high temperatures are common—such as automotive engine bays, marine systems, and industrial pipelines. They support higher working pressures than plated alternatives and deliver a stable, leak-free seal over time.
Chief Ling offers three stainless steel configurations:
- All parts in SS#410 or #304
- Band: SS#410, Housing: SS#430, Screw: Nickel-plated steel
- Band & Housing: SS#304, Screw: Nickel-plated steel
1.2 Galvanized Steel Hose Clamps
Galvanized steel provides reliable performance for general-purpose water, oil, and HVAC systems at a lower cost. Its zinc coating helps delay rust, making it ideal for indoor machinery, irrigation, and aftermarket automotive use.
This is one of our best-selling hose clamp materials—we frequently ship full containers of mixed sizes for our customers.
1.3 Plastic Hose Clamps (ABS/PP)
Lightweight and cost-effective, plastic hose clamps work well for non-critical applications. However, they lack the tensile strength and temperature tolerance of metal clamps, and can degrade under UV, heat, or extreme cold.

2. How to Determine the Right Hose Clamp Size
- Measure O.D. → Use a vernier caliper to measure the hose’s outside diameter.
- Band Width → 8 mm for small vacuum lines; 12.7 mm for high-boost or silicone couplers.
- Thickness → 0.6 mm for hand tools; 0.7 mm for pneumatic tools or high-pressure systems.
Pro Tip: Position the screw at 30–70% of its range for easier adjustments and long-term re-tightening.
